Trip down memory lane...

Memories...I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:1. Add a comment on my blog and leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot- just do anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Grandma Great...

I just saw a link to a blog dedicated to my great grandparents on my mother's/grandmother's side. I was thinking of the funny things I remember about Grandma Great (as she had us call her). I remember her teaching us how to make cheese and jam sandwiches. It sounds disgusting, but tastes great. I remember another time she was eating oatmeal. We could see weevil or some type of bugs in the oatmeal and we told her, "Ewwww Grandma!!! There are bug in your oatmeal. She just smiled and said, "It's more fiber" and kept on eating it. I remember helping spring clean and finding out her ceiling in the kitchen was light blue, not gray. It was gray from the wood-burning cooking stove she had in there. I loved how her washer drained out into her garden, watering her flowers. We used to love watching the suds come out. I also loved the old metal pitcher/container that she used for all of her spoons.
