Spectacular Sunsets Great Salt Lake

Speaking of Eating Babies...

There is a patient at work who goes around saying things for shock value, and although horrible, and somewhat pathetic, the things he says are kind of funny....For example, he said, "I am so hungry right now that I would kick a baby in the face for a Snickers bar."

Who says training is boring???

I went to a training session for DCFS the other day. One of the "get-to-know-you" activities was to talk in groups and determine how our greatest strengths would help us if we were stranded on a desert island. Then we were supposed to talk about what other strengths we had that would help us survive. We had 4 guys and 1 woman (graduate student) in our group. We were discussing the various strengths and how they would help, when the graduate student stated that she could procreate with us and have babies. I stated, "Why, so we could eat the babies?" and she indicated that it would at least provide us recreation.

I hate cheesy waiters...

If you are a waiter named Robert...never, I mean NEVER use this line...

"Hi, welcome to (Italian Restaurant)! I will be your server tonight. My name is Robert. It's easy to remember because it is a three letter felony--Rob!"

If you use this line again, you might receive a 17-letter felony called Assault and Battery... :)

Work...working again...

It is really nice to be working again, to be interacting with professionals, to be getting free lunches from drug reps, to be receiving tutelage from an experienced psychologist, and to be making money. I worked every day this week including the weekends. I will also be going to St. George/Hurricane on Monday to do testing for a program there. I am happy to be contributing to the family budget again... :)

Mr. Creepy old guy....

I was uploading photos to my gallery during a graveyard shift the other night (http://houstonryan.deviantart.com/store/). One of my co-workers, who is an older, gray-haired man, took some interest. He asked if I was a photographer and what my specialization was. I explained that I took pictures of a wide variety of subjects and did not have a specialty area. He said, "Do you know what I would want to specialize in if I were a photographer? Taking pictures of beautiful women...and they wouldn't even have to be naked either. You could dress them up in beautiful clothing and do their make up to make sure it wasn't too garish..."

Ewww!!!!

Work drought has ended????

Finally, I have work...I worked today, I will work tomorrow, I will work every day this week. :) I will make a little over $ 2000 if everything comes through for me. That should help take some of the pressure off my wife, who has been working overtime almost daily for the past 2 years... :(

Photos of Americana...

I love to take photos like the ones on this website...I wish more photographers would document these types of places before they are all bulldozed for the next McDonalds and Comfort Inn...

No work...

Still haven' t been working...supposedly there are several assessments in the works, but nothing yet. It is so frustrating...

However, I have been able to drain and fill the hot tub, fix more sprinklers, wash the van/Xterra, replace a door handle and lock, etc...

Maybe I should go to LaborReady or something for a while...
