T-Ear-rings

so we got the little girls' ears pierced. Miranda went first and she was so brave until the first earring went in. She cried and cried and cried and cried. Then Abby started crying because sheh realized it was going to hurt. She sat in the chair as the lady helped some other customers and cried the entire time in the chair. Melissa gave her the chance to back out, but she said she still wanted to get it done. When Abby's ears were pierced, she cried a little in pain, but was done crying in just a few minutes. She cried more in anticipation of the pain than she did in the actual experiencing of the pain. They are both so cute with their little earrings...

Kate

I have more, but don't have time to upload them...I had to put the black/white borders on to make sure that when this is printed out, the color balance stays the same...This is a 4x6 if you want to save it and print it out.

Dad's Truck at Derby (Black/Green Letters)

These are out of sequence, but these are all the crashes that dad's truck gave...I think the truck only took 2 hits from other trucks...

Tough as Nails...

I was telling Chase today that Grandpa's truck won the demolition derby. Miranda kept saying that Grandpa won the crash up derby. I explained that Grandpa's TRUCK won, not Grandpa himself. Chase joked that Grandpa wouldn't be able to survive driving in the derby. I responded, "Whatever! Grandpa is tough as nails." Chase didn't miss a beat and said, "Maybe rusty nails." :)

The Genographic Project

When I get an extra $200 I want to do this project...I want to do a paternal lineage and a maternal lineage. I think it would be fun to see where our ancestors originated originally. Unless any of my siblings or parents have the extra cash and get the test done on them. :)

Therapy

I had my first therapy client today in a while...I enjoyed the session, feel I can help the person decrease a lot of the anxiety he/she experiences. I will probably try to incorporate neurofeedback into the mix. Maybe do 20 minutes of eeg biofeedback treatment and 30 minutes of cognitive-behavioral therapy treatment. I am going to try and build up the number of people I see in therapy on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Bedtime

Tonight A and M got out of bed probably 10X before finally going to sleep. They wanted a hug, they wanted a kiss, they wanted to tell us they loved us, they wanted to ask us questions, etc. I told M that she would need to get to sleep because she had to get up early to go to the babysitter's house. She giggled, ran out of the room, and said in a loud voice, "But I'm not a baby!!!" I guess I need to start calling her the kid-sitter....

Funnies...

One of the twins, age 17, walked in at the end of the presidential debates last night. The moderator was saying thank you to Senator McCain. She started laughing and asked incredulously, "His name is Sandra? That's funny!" :)

Gingerbread House

When I was 3 or 4-years old, and we lived in Libby, Montana, I remember that my mom made a cute gingerbread house for Christmas. It had white frosting that looked like snow, M&Ms all over the roof and all over the yard. We wanted to eat it so bad. My mom told us that we could maybe have it after Christmas. Well, Mom and Dad went out on a date one night and we told the babysitter that our mom said we could eat it. Yummy!!! I don't think Mom was very happy about it though...

Magpie Photo

I went to church today, went on a short drive to take pictures, edited some of the pictures, studied for the EPPP, and ate a delicious meal with apple crisp for dessert. It was a fun day.

Sleeping in....

I was annoyed this morning when I woke up at 6:45, then reawakened at 6:50 by our 18-year old opening our door to find something. I couldn't fall asleep again for about an hour. But I managed to stick it out and sleep until 10:00... :) I love sleeping in....

Facebook is great...

I love Facebook. It is a fast, fun, and easy way to stay in touch with old friends. I started a Beaver High School group on there. All my siblings should sign up.

My Other Drive.com

I sold my first temple screensaver today and was not able to email it as gmail and hotmail restrict the emailing of .exe files. I found a nice website named MyOtherDrive.com which allows you to upload files and then email them to others. If your harddrive is full, you can store files there too...Just an FYI for those who might be interested.

Neon Motorcycle

funny kids

Our 7-year-old is starting to develop a really funny sense of humor. Before, she would try to be funny, but it wasn't really, but now she is genuinely funny. Our 3-year-old is funny because she says cute things. I got a note from my son the other day reminding me to pick up his medications "or I will go Jackie Chan on you...Hi ya!" That made me laugh too...
