My mother was Susan Brown, born in St. George on 18 April 1862. Her families came from Indiana and Kentucky of the honest and fair-minded type. Her father was Robert H. Brown and her mother was Eunice Pectol. They were called by President Brigham Young to help settle Southern Utah to try raising cotton. They also lived in Rockville, Mt. Carmel, and Orderville. Grandfather took up some land in Long Valley and were some of the first settlers there. The graveyard plot in Orderville was part of his homestead, donated for that purpose. He was a member of the Board in the Order. That’s what drew the attention of a young man, Delaun Mills Cox, toward her. They were married 8 August 1877.

Eunice PECTOL was born on 22 Sep 1834 in Greenville, Clark, In. She was baptised into the LDS church in 1848. She was endowed on 11 Apr 1855. She was buried in Aug 1913 in Orderville, Kane County, Ut. She died on 25 Aug 1913 in Mt. Carmel, Kane County, Ut. She was sealed to parents on 9 Oct 1951. She has reference number 4RMH-HB.

Brown was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday, 11 May 1845.2 He lived with James Polly Brown and EuniceReasor in Manti, Sanpete, Deseret in 1851; value of real estate was $275.3 At the age of 20, Robert H. Brown married Eunice Pectol on Sunday, 13 March 1853.2 Robert H. Brown died on Thursday, 31 March 1853 at the age of 20 years, 10 months and 20 days.2 He married Elizabeth Ann Tuttle in 1855.2 At the age of 23, Robert H. Brown received his endowment on Tuesday, 11 September 1855 in the Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.2 At the age of 28, Robert H.
