MT. CARMEL, UTAH - Funeral services for Joseph Parley Allred, 63, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Mt. Carmel Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Allred died Wednesday (29 Apr 1953) after a long illness. He was born in Orderville, June 15, 1889, a son of Joseph P. and Rosina Brown Allred. He received his education in Southern Utah Schools. He married Zerelda Hoopes in Beaver in August, 1913,. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. He had resided in Beaver where he was an operator of services stations. He had also lived in Glendale, Utah and Burbank, Cal. He had lived in Mt. Carmel since 1942. Survivors include his widow and two sons and two daughters, Donald and Darol Allred, Burbank, Cal.; Arlene and Velma Allred, Mt. Carmel; six grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Alvin Allred, Springdale; Ervin Allred, American Fork; Mrs. Mamie Hoopes and Mrs. Berneta Tait, St. George. Burial will be in Orderville Cemetery under direction of Valley Mortuary of Provo.
